Goals Call

We have a new member! Welcome aboard. Feel free to post your goals, either weekly or monthly or both. Everyone here has admin status, so we can go into each other's posts to comment in another color. Also updating your own progress seems to work in an alternate color. Some of us have reading lists, feel free to add to links, poke around, feel right at home. 'kay?

Gearing up to nag

Really, really nag........... lotsa nagging coming up soon.

Saturday, April 5, 2008

Start thinking about this weeks goals

And post them by Sunday night or else!

Friday, March 28, 2008

Okay, sisters!

I see no posting and no nagging here. There are seven of us who should be participating. Who wants to get kicked out of this stable? Let's have some participation from everybody. Everybody! Or at least some very entertaining excuses.

My arms have laryngitis and that's why I haven't posted goals. Can't move.

MEGA NAG!!!

Where is everyone? I'm talkin' to myself here!

Dani, c'mon, start posting!

Total Nag Sissy here.... I haven't finished anything, and certainly not what was on my list. Urg. Maybe the daily check-in and nagging is a better idea. I dunno. I feel way more scattered than usual, and usual was bad enough!

Nag, nag, nag

Make your final push today, and then post your week's results! You folks who paced are ahead of the game on all counts! We admire you greatly. :)

Don't forget to post your goals for the coming week.... carryovers are fine. We'll nag on old goals as well as new.

My eyes! My eyes!

I had to make my type bigger. I confess, that teeny-tiny type was giving me a headache.

Okay, so what did everybody else do yesterday? C'mon, speak up, don't be shy.

Dana here, weighing in with my orange color today. Yesterday I:
did an hour yoga class at lunch; wrote a post for my blog; worked on Lilith. Didn't get a lot done on Lilith as I was obsessing over how to describe one particular thing; and spent time reading the Describer's Dictionary (didn't help) and grebbling about how I couldn't describe for s&$t when I'm writing in third person. Spent most of my after-work hours cleaning up as described in my post!

Dani here - I spend way too much time moodling and giving out free advice instead of working my goals. No walking either since it's all snow and mud around here. But no yoga either. No good excuse there. I haven't even done my stinkin' laundry! And no chocolate. I'm miserable. That's about the size of it. Blech. Oh, and the stupid thyroid pills are making me break out in a major way. I paid how much for this diagnosis and treatment?? And I'm still tired. Hey! No Whining wasn't on MY list! Heheh.

Awww, Dani, I'm sorry you're feeling down. Is there anything we can do to help? I sure do wish you'd write that "meaning statement" thingie, and if you did, maybe it would give you some direction. Is it supposed to be long or just a logline sort of thing? Inquiring minds want to know! ~ Elizabeth

All Purpose Nag

Okay, what's everybody accomplished today? Or for that matter, yesterday? Your friendly neighborhood Naggerina wants to know!

oooh, da pressure of da nagging! It hoits my wittle head! Okay, not really. Ahem. Today I have been at work since 7:45 and will be here till 6:00 and have accomplished some web surfing, catching up on reading Wombat entries for the Amazon contest (I'm trying to be better about reading stuff written by people in my writing groups), and taking chinese herbs to battle this bug. Last night I wrote on LILITH for about a half hour before feeling too crappy to do anything but hold my cats and watch 28 WEEKS LATER. Does research count, btw? I did research landmarks I'm using...

You wonderful nag, I adore you! I haven't done squat this week except moodle about blog book tours and post a lot at that yahoo group... I swear I have to do that meaning statement and the annual list. But, yeah, I think moodling counts for something and it's a good thing to do when you feel awful. So is that Dana talking about there? We better start signing our names! Hey listen, I'm going to have three things on my list this year and will name them so I don't have to keep repeating.

Syndicated column

Newmacdonald children's series

Ghost town novel

Okay, I'm committed now. Let's have a cuppa and feel good about it. Chinese herbs anyone?

Dani (who probably should be committed;)

Thanks for the cuppa! Chinese herbs, yum. (Paging Lisa--she probably knows just which Chinese herb is which.) Anyway, let's all be committed together. That will be one happening psych ward. A ghost town novel? Sounds fabulous. Do tell all, omitting no detail. Your friendly herbal nag, Elizabeth.

Where are they?

You think they'll ever post any goals?

Doesn't look like it.

Now there's three of 'em and nobody's posting goals.

Well, it is Christmas. Maybe they're out having a good time like we are.

Yeah.

Wanna 'nother beer?

The Goals!

Time to post new goals. No dilly-dallying around ladies! And update last week's goals, too. The whip is cracking. You have just over a week to develop some good habits in preparation for NaNoWriMo.

Love,

Prudence and Jane

BIW Goals for Dani w/o 10/15

Okay, I'm going for 25 pages and one mile per day AND making the commitment to report results AND submit totals at completion. Insert naggy wicked grin here.

Monday - 2 pages/2 miles ! Treats for me!!
Tuesday - 3 pages/1.5 miles
Wednesday - 7 pages/2 miles Woohoo!
Thursday - 2 pages/ .5 miles Cold and windy!
Friday - 1 page out of town
Saturday - 1 page/1 miles
Sunday - 1 page/ 0 miles
Somehow my daily page count doesn't agree with BIW. Beats me.

Okay, Nag Sister, where's your commitment??

Edith, Charmaine, Jane and Angelina...

...want to know why the Nag Sisters have not updated their goals or posted new ones for the week of September 16. And they have the nerve to criticize the Muses for not doing their jobs! They are probably both engaged in some slothful and hedonistic activities, rather than acting like the professional writers they pretend to be.

Okay, okay..... as soon as I finish this stuff..... yum, slurp........ mmmm. Charmaine, eat your heart out. This chocolate is unreal! And Edith, you'd love these nuts and berries.... drool. Now where's that cup of hot chocolate. Perfect on this cool Fall day. Maybe I'll give myself a little foot soak first, while I think about all those goals. What color should I use to write 'em down? That's important. And do I really want to write in that neat little notebook?? Let me ponder that with a few..... hmmm. Oh! Gingersnaps! A perfect chocolate foil! Mmmmmm. Maybe I'll call Ann and do a little brainstorming. Who the hell are Jane and Angelina??

Dani's goals - August 27 - September 3

Okay, I'll beat you by one page on your 20-page goal and by one mile in that time period. Neener neener. After I eat all that chocolate. And end up looking like our friend to the right. I notice you're walking very well already. What about writing? How is that going?

Weekly goads, er, goals August 20-26

NAG*NAG*NAG

I see no goals happening here..... has everyone beamed up to the Mother Ship??

Okay, since we're already late and into the week:

I will finish a rough draft of The Blog Book Tour Guide for Writers and send it to my Nag Sister by August 27 for a quick read-through. I'm thinking about 20 pages.

Exercise - too hot and skeetery for much walking so three yoga sessions. Mike and I are taking spinning classes so I'm a bit focused on that right now. We'll be out of town towards the end of the week.

I'm presuming you're involved with getting the youngsters back to school? Or you really did beam up to the Mother Ship? Where arrrrrrrre you??

Time's a-wastin'

How are you doing? Here comes the weekend... are you going to take the weekend off? Almost time to post our BIW goals and other goals for next week!

TICKTICKTICKTICKTICK...... I guess I'll be writing a bit on Saturday while we're in Burlington! Not sure what yet, but I'll upload Alphie and see what's there to revise. And maybe take my notes for the VBT eBook. Since I have the blog and lens set up for the Blog Book Tours, I really need to get the free eBook on both.
