Ow! Ow! How did you do that??? Chopping wood or veggies or...??

SO HOW WAS THE RETIRMENT PARTY? ********* ONLY A FEW MORE HOURS!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! SO NOW HAVE TONS OF FUN TOMORROW. THEN WE WRITE!

Retirement luncheon was nice. Made me realize how FEW people are left from when I started umpteen years ago...

How'd you do all the colors??

Tried and tried...

... to comment. How odd that I can post, but not comment!
Anyhow, haven't really thought much about the "town" ... I probably oughta focus on book #3 for this BIW. After that?

Say, are we going to have a GAL week (get a life)? I have plenty of "getting ready" to do for BIW.

I need to grab a pedometer and start walking!

Definitely count a mile for scything (?spelling?).

Phew! Off to bed. Retiring is an exhausting business!

Book-in-a-Week

Here's the rest of the year:

Jul 9 - 15
Aug 6 - 12
Sep 10 - 16
Oct 15 - 21
Nov 5 - 11
Dec 3 - 9

Late in July (she said with a sigh of relief) so we can maybe organize and plan. And also so my index finger can heal. I tried to chop it off yesterday. :( I'm in a splint, but it's healing well and fast. No pain. Just hard to type.

SO HOW WAS THE RETIRMENT PARTY? ********* ONLY A FEW MORE HOURS!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! SO NOW HAVE TONS OF FUN TOMORROW. THEN WE WRITE!

I figured out the paragraph problem.

Nag, nag, nag

I keep forgetting to ask.... are you working on Ghost Town at all? I did some writing in last months BIW developing characters, but I'm having a hard time with creating the imaginary township of Freeland where these ten couples are moving. I thought Flagler would work, but I'm so uninspired with the post-tornado architecture. Think cheap clapboard ranchers. Gag. Not sure how to approach that. Let me know if you've even got this project on your plate at all. I could just postpone it for a while, and work on the PLR articles so when the ghostwriting kids set up the website, I'll have product to offer.

I was just thinking of you!

P-1 And found your post. Less than two days for you!!! The paragraphs don't work with this template for some reason. Maybe we should change templates.... you think? I just don't want to lose the Nag Sister photo and colors. Stinkin' problems. It's always something. Blech. The preview has paragraphs.... why can't the published post be right?

P-2 Anyway, I scythed today, but haven't walked yet. Shall I count the scything as a mile? It's a bit like walking uphill or with weights and if I base it on amount of time, it should work out to the same thing. Or, you could get a scythe, and we could have another exercise category. Har!

P-3 I've been dreadful about organizing my writing. I may have to amend my goals about writing, too. I WILL update two blogs by the end of the week (Saturday). I will also send a daily list of goals on Sunday, and post them here, so I can cut-n-paste results every day. Let's report daily. It's better for moi.

P-4 Have you checked when BIW starts? I better go look. Registration may be tomorrow.

Okay.... tata for now! I have to go help hubby with stained glass for a few hours.

P.S.

... and how are YOU doing? (Nag, nag, nag some more...) Are you writing? Walking?
.... I still can't figure out how to do paragraph breaks!

Walk a mile in these shoes....

Walked a mile today! I'm so proud of myself. And did a little writing in the WWW monthly read. At work, I'm thrashing through a nasty piece that needs to be done tomorrow. One comfort: It has to be 800 words long; it's 1400 words. Heck, all I have to do is cut the proper words out and I'm THERE!

Planning on one more mile tomorrow (to prepare for the Friday trek) and trimming/refining the article on quantum mechanics and how it relates to basic atomic and molecular physics...

Phew!

Testing paragraphs and more

First, I changed you to an administrator so you can invite folks to join by going to Settings and then Permissions. The rest is self-explanatory.

Paragraph 2 - I can't believe you're going to walk four miles in ONE day. Outrageous.

Paragraph 3 - I'm checking to see if I can get a live link by highlighting words and then clicking the link icon above to get the screen that adds the url. Love of Place is the other new blog that you can post on.

It's be a great week! Imagine retiring after all these years!! You're going to keep a journal of your feelings, right? I mean, Inez might sell the Silver Queen someday and you can refer to your own experience to write about her last days.... er, maybe I should phrase that another way! LOL.

My goal this week is to go through all my stacks of copied papers and either toss them or put them into their appropriate binders. And the same for my shoeboxes full of index cards with brilliant ideas that I've been saving for years. Good grief. Talk about bad feng shui.

And writing. I'm going to update my sock blog and my Love of Place blog which requires a decently written essay. And finish the outline for Big Ideas for Small Towns so that I can also create a To-Do list to continue with that blasted project. And I will enjoy it, dammit!

The Weird (?or is that "Wired"?) sisters....

... You're on, Dani!

OK, this week is crazy crazy (bubble, bubble, toil and trouble) through Thursday.
My goals for this week are:

Monday through Thursday:
SURVIVE (with work and two evening events, that's the best I can promise at this point!)

Friday
EXERCISE: Walk four miles (... two miles to a local coffee shop that has *great* coffee... Panama Bay http://tinyurl.com/yt39s4
WRITING: First draft: three pages

.... Will think about what I can accomplish after that. Say, doesn't BIW have a week of writing coming up?

Accountability!

Okay, Ann. Starting July 1st, we start posting our goals and results. Does that sound like a plan? And how often? And we can invite other writers, right? BIC HOK TAM!
